BIO

Mike Dunbar is an Americana artist from New England. His music is equal parts Paul Simon and Tom Petty, blending lyrical depth with rock-and-roll grit. A native of the New Hampshire seacoast, he spent years performing throughout the Northeast before moving to Nashville, TN where he worked as a professional songwriter and performer. Now, he is based in coastal New Hampshire, incorporating his years spent honing his craft among the best guitarists in the world and his deep love of New England.

Dunbar has received two consecutive $5,000 artistic grants from the Mellon Foundation to compose and record original songs. His work has been featured in the Boston Globe as well as on Nashville’s Lightning 100, Channel 4’s Today in Nashville, Boston’s The River, and New Hampshire Public Radio’s All Things Considered. His recent release Either Way It’s Forever has garnered over 10,000 streams on Spotify.

His latest music was recorded at the iconic Nashville recording studio Welcome to 1979 using analog recording methods. He will be releasing a new album later this year.
